Nigel Forster is based in the heart of the Brecon Beacons in mid Wales. The area is the centre for all that the Brecon Beacons has to offer and is the base for much of Nigel’s photography and teaching work.
He has been working as a photographer since 2009 after several career changes! Nigel’s expertise is in creating unique images through the traditional approach of combining simple composition and natural light, while encompassing the diversity and strength of imagery that can be achieved through digital photography techniques and processing. He has always had a passion for the outdoors; the mountains in particular, travel and for landscape photography, and this is reflected in his style of photography.
His specialisation is in landscape photography, although as with most landscape photographers his commissioned work is more varied, but largely keeping to the ‘location’ theme. His professional work varies from tourism based ‘people on location’ work, outdoor activities, architecture and infrastructure, to interiors and exhibitions. Nigel is also an experienced teacher to groups and individuals in photography, working under the business name of Creative Photography Wales.
His teaching focuses on his individual approach to an interpretation of the landscape into photographic imagery. His courses will show you that you don’t need to go to exotic locations to get great landscape photographs!
He also produces On-Line training video’s for The Photographer Academy, the UK’s foremost photography training company.
